Every year, VEGANOK recognizes leading figures from entertainment, activism, sports, and the broader vegan community to confer the prestigious VEGANOK Award. This year’s honorees included Roberta Orrù, who performed the VeganFest Live theme song, and Pierpaolo Cirillo, ambassador for the Associazione Vegani Italiani Onlus and Coordinator of the Ethical Committee, who also arranged the song.

This year’s award is significant as it coincides with the 12th edition of the event and celebrates the first 20 years of the VEGANOK Network’s ethical endeavors. The award commends those who have played a crucial role in this long-standing journey, paving the way for a future filled with compassion and environmental and animal harmony.
It was an emotional moment for all: the recipients, the presenters, especially Renata Balducci, and the audience. Roberta Orrù’s powerful and vibrant voice unexpectedly filled the venue during a “live” performance over the VeganFest Live musical track. Pierpaolo Cirillo, who could not attend the ceremony, contributed a video message of thanks, and his award was accepted on his behalf by Renata Balducci, president of the Associazione Vegani Italiani Onlus.
